In this tutorial we will show how to setup a push-enabled application.

The entire procedure can be splitted in two main steps:

- Creating and configuring the Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) service

Generating and setting the GCM API Key and Sender ID to the ArenaDaemon dashboard website

Creating and configuring the

Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) service

The very first step to perform in order to make the notification service working,

is to create and configure the API Project enabled for GCM through

the Google Developers Console.

The simplest way is to follow the guided procedure at this link:

https://developers.google.com/mobile/add

Alternatively you can get the API Key and the Sender ID following these simple steps.

Log in the Google Developers Console and create a new project.

Step 1

In the API Manager section of the Console, enable the GCM Service.

Step 2

Generating and setting the GCM API Key and Sender ID

to the ArenaDaemon dashboard website

Now select the Credentials tab and create a new Server Key.

The first time, you will see the following screen:

Step 3

NOTE: Do not set the Accept requests from these server IP addresses field.

Now copy and paste the generated Key in the ArenaDaemon dashboard.

Step 4

Step 5

The last step is to find the Project Number of the project you are using in the Google Developers Console.

You can find it the Home Dashboard of the Google Console, as shown below:

Step 6

Copy and paste the Project Number and use it in the Sender ID field in the ArenaDaemon dashboard:

Step 7

Done!

You now have everything needed to start with the ArenaDaemon's push notification service.

Now you can jump to the sample project to run your first push-enabled ArenaDaemon's application.
